Job Description Summary
The Human Resources Manager provides HR support for GE Digital client group Leaders, Managers and Employees on organizational and employee matters, as well as coaching, HR process expertise and other general HR activities. The Human Resources Manager works closely with the Engineering global HR team and other GE Digital HR Business Partners to drive HR strategies across India.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Utilize technical expertise and judgement to solve problems. Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
- Take end-to-end ownership of HR partnership for multiple senior leaders and employees within a complex business environment, including multiple matrixed organizations with acquired businesses, union relations, or global footprints
- Enable performance and accountability by focusing on culture creation, coaching and development and sound talent management practices
- Drive employee experience through close partnership with employees & influencers - diagnose and address concern areas to enable engagement
- Serve as subject matter expert for one or more functional specialty areas, including managing all complex and escalated cases in partnership with relevant stakeholders
- Roll-up perspective and insights that can be used to help shape organizational direction. Leverage local knowledge to add value to global programs and initiatives
- Provide dedicated guidance and coaching to people leaders and employees with specific focus on: employee advocacy/engagement, HR fundamentals and process education, employee relations, performance management, career development, talent assessment, acquisition and retention and workplace investigations as appropriate
- Partner with global and local COEs and HR stakeholders professionals to execute business-specific HR strategies as well as to drive positive employee experience
- Act as a first point of contact for employees & managers to provides leadership, coaching and support for individual employee needs & HR processes
- Leverage employee-self services and HR Operations ecosystem to provide employees and managers guidance on fundamental HR topics and issues
- Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures and practices at 100% compliance to promote an ethical and compliant work environment
- Leverage employee relations expertise to protect the integrity of the business through a focus on compliance and adherence to local laws, regulations and fair employment practices
- Ideate and execute special projects or initiatives for the benefit of business and function; and collaborate with site-wide HR projects as necessary, working across multiple client groups
Required Qualifications
- Masters in Business Administration (or equivalent) in Human Resources from an accredited institution
- This role requires advanced experience in the Human Resources Management. Prior experience in HR Business Partnership and functional areas of Talent Management and/ or Total Rewards is necessary
Desired Characteristics
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
