A seaside town in the famous Kancheepuram district of the southern state of Tamil Nadu, Injambakkam is increasingly on the map for various reasons. Its excellent connectivity and proximity to the growing city of Kancheepuram as well as to the state capital of Chennai. This has resulted in the town developed a de facto satellite town status. Its population has grown by more than 100% since 2001. Injambakkam is located on the famous East Coast Road, connecting Kanchipuram to Chennai.
